## Short answers

### Does NAD+ work?

A compound in every cell, needed to make energy. Clinics offer it as drips and injections. No such medicine in the EU or US. Longer life: grade E, not clear. A 2026 review found no study of the effects of NAD+ itself given by drip or injection. Studies test NMN and NR, which the body turns into NAD+, and their results on health are mixed or show no effect.

### Is NAD+ legal?

This covers medicines, not supplements. EU: No approval. The European medicines database (EMA), which covers EU and national approvals, lists no such medicine (9 October 2026). This covers medicines, not supplements. US: No approval. The FDA drug register has no such medicine.

### Is NAD+ banned in sport?

Not on the list, WADA 2026. The substance is not on the WADA list, but drips and injections above 100 mL in 12 hours are banned, except in hospital care and medical tests.

### Is NAD+ safe?

Not known. A 2026 review of NAD+ drips found few data in people: small studies without comparison groups, observations and case reports.
